Chameleons Year 3

Welcome to Chameleon Class!

Our teacher is Miss Smith.

This term our topic is all about food. We will be reading Charlie and the chocolate factory alongside this topic and learning all about chocolate and other types of food.

This term we will be beginning our year 3 maths learning with number and place value of numbers to 1000. We will then continue onto addition and subtraction.

Practising times tables will help in all our areas of maths.

This term in science we will be looking at our senses. We will be learning about our 5 senses in detail; being able to name teeth in the mouth, how our eyes work and naming the sections of the tongue.

Please ensure the children have a named PE kit in school on those days.

Homework will be sent out on a Friday along with spellings.

Please continue to read with the children daily and practise their times tables.  There will be a reading bingo quiz send out this term, where the children can win a prize for the genres of books they read.

Please ensure the children have a fully stocked pencil case, including a glue stick and whiteboard pen.

Any old children (or adult) t-shirts would be greatly appreciated for art aprons.
