Dear Parents
OFSTED REPORT!
We are delighted to enclose a copy of our Ofsted report. When reading the report we are sure you will agree how positive it is, and how it recognises our achievements and all the wonderful things going on in the school!
While reading you will find the grades we’ve been given. Grade 3 (satisfactory) is average, Grade 2 (good) is above average and Grade 1 (outstanding or very good) is exceptionally high. We are sure you will agree that the school has achieved high grades in all areas of the inspection.
As recognition of the pupils’ efforts and to celebrate our achievements we have had a special day today. The children have had a chance to do their favourite things including cooking, music and playing with the construction materials. We held a special assembly where each class was presented with a certificate to mark the good news. To round this off we all shared in a party tea. Look out for our press release in next week’s local papers!
Each pupil has received a letter from the Ofsted team to tell them what they liked about our school – you might like to ask your child to share this letter with you.
I would like to thank you all for the support you as parents give to the school in so many ways, and of course to thank our teachers and staff for all their hard work – not only during Ofsted but throughout the year. This all adds up to make Chartham the effective and good school that the team judged it to be.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs J Martyn
Headteacher
