Welcome to Jaguar Class!
This term we're heading back in time to...
We will be deciding who should be our next King, but only once they have submitted their job applications! We will be investigating the events surrounding the Battle of Hastings and what life was like in Norman times!
Last term we held our own Book World Cup 2018 to vote for our next class book!
We started with 16 brilliant book choices, a blurb, reviews and even tweets from the authors. From here, books were put up against each other in the knock out stages. Our final four were; Who Let the God's Out, Library of Lemons, A Room Full of Chocolate and Goldfish Boy.
And the winner is....
A Room Full of Chocolate!
We are very excited to start reading our author signed copy after Easter!
Sound and Energy!
This topic will carry on until the end of the school year. We will be exploring different types of energy and how we use energy in different forms as well has finding out all about sound!
PE will be on a Wednesday, your PE kit must have..
We will be outside a lot more for PE this term so make sure your footwear is appropriate!
Make sure your PE kit is in school at all times as it is often needed at other times.
Homework will be set on a Friday and is due back the following week. This will often consist of spellings based on the spelling rules we have looked at in class that week as well as reminders to practise your times tables.
At the start of each term you will also receive a list of topic homework ideas, I will ask for a minimum about of pieces to be completed but the rest is up to you! Get creative, the list is to just give you some ideas, you do not need to stick to it!
Please continue to read regularly at home. In your reading records, you can record it in your own way. Remember, it doesn't always have to be your adults filling out this book!
