Welcome to Jaguar Class!
This term we're off on a road trip around the USA!
We have already started to plan our own trip to New York and some of its amazing landmarks.
During our reading sessions we are continuing to read Wonder, a book that I know the children and I have really enjoyed reading. We will also be using The Indian in the Cupboard by Lynne Reid Banks during some of our literacy lessons.
Human Health and Fitness!
Up until Easter, we will be looking at how the human body works, what we need to live and how keeping fit impacts us!
You will be going swimming or doing Forest Schools this term.
For Forest Schools, you must have suitable outdoor clothing as you will be outside in almost all weather conditions (but you do get a hot chocolate to warm you up)!
PE will be on a Friday, your PE kit must have..
As the weather cools, you may prefer jogging bottoms and a jumper, still in the school colours.
Homework will be set on a Friday and is due back the following week. This will often consist of spellings from them government spelling list appropriate to your year group as well as reminders to practise your times tables.
At least twice a term, you will also receive some topic based homework. You will have two weeks to complete these pieces.
Please continue to read regularly at home. In your new reading records, you can record it in your own way. Remember, it doesn't always have to be your adults filling out this book!
