Welcome to Jaguar Class!
This term we will be exploring all things mountain! We will be locating mountain ranges of the UK and the world, comparing the worlds highest peaks and discovering how mountains are formed.
We will also be developing our map reading skills- do you know how to use an Ordinance Survey Map?
This term we will be reading....
Claire Fayers is our author pen-pal, she sends Jaguar class a letter each month with book recommendations, updates on her own projects as well as setting us writing challenges (last term we invented our own super villains and wrote a poem about the worst present ever) so we look forward to telling her what we think of her exciting book!
Up until Easter we will be exploring electricity through a range of exciting experiments and investigations.
Do you know what all of these symbols mean?
PE will be on a Friday, your PE kit must be in schools at all times and include...
This term we will be doing basketball outside, ensure you have appropriate footwear.
Make sure your PE kit is in school at all times as it is often needed at other times.
Homework will be set on a Friday and is due back the following week. This will often consist of spellings based on the spelling rules we have looked at in class that week as well as reminders to practise your times tables.
At the start of each term you will also receive a list of topic homework ideas, I will ask for a minimum about of pieces to be completed but the rest is up to you! Get creative, the list is to just give you some ideas, you do not need to stick to it!
Please continue to read regularly at home. In your reading records, you can record it in your own way. Remember, it doesn't always have to be your adults filling out this book!
