We have done some amazing experiments in science so far. We have turned a flame green, and changed the state of hair gel from a solid-liquid compound to liquid!
We had a lovely day at Hastings. We were lucky enough to visit the aquarium, the museum and had lunch at the beach!
Welcome to Leopards class (Year 4)
Our teacher is Miss Bransfield.
Our topic this term is The Blue Abyss.
The Blue Abyss is all about exploring the ocean. Within this topic we have already written poems about a chosen sea creature and will be moving on to research important ships and explorers. We will be thinking about how ocean life is being threatened, and what we can do about this. We will also be having structured debates about the Great Barrier Reef.
In art and DT, we will be focusing on designing and making a jellyfish that will glow/or light up in the dark.
In science this term we will be looking at chemical changes. This will involve lots of amazing observations and experiments.
In our classroom we have a display that is updated with impressive work, we call it wow work! Some of us have work up there already, others of us are continuing to work hard to get some work up there soon.
Hugo the Worry Monster
Hugo is a very important member of Leopards Class. Hugo’s job is to read our worries and either gobble them up or help us to solve our worries.
Leopards have PE on a Wednesday afternoon and Friday morning.
Please try to read every day and record what you have read in your reading record. Also practise those spellings and timetables! Spellings tests are on Thursdays.
