This term our topic is all about Natural Disasters. We will be looking at earthquakes, volcanoes, floods and hurricanes; why they happen, what deversation they leave and how they can be prevented.
We will be reading a range of fiction and non-fiction books around the topics and writing poems, stories and information booklets about the natural disasters.
This term we will continue our learning of shape and measure. We will be recognising the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. We will then look at measuring weights in g and kg, as well as measuring in l and ml.
This term in science we will be looking at rocks, mixtures and separation. We will be looking at different types of rock formations, how chemicals mix together as well as how to separate them.
Chameleon's class book this term is Murder Most Unladylike by Robin Stevens. When Daisy and her best friend Hazel find a body, they have to try and find the murderer before the police do!
Please ensure the children have a named PE kit in school.
Homework will be sent out on a Friday along with spellings.
Maths homework will be set on Study Zone and Rockstar times tables.
Please continue to read with the children daily and practise their times tables.
Please ensure the children have a fully stocked pencil case, including a glue stick and whiteboard pen.
