Spellings and Maths homework are sent out every week and tested on a Friday. Ensure homework folders are back on a THURSDAY.
Our topic this term is Ancient Egypt.
We will be looking at the life during Ancient Egypt, their beliefs and rituals as well as famous rulers of the time. Through the use of fiction books such as 'Secrets of a Sun King' and the use of films, we will be creating a range of genres in our writing.
In Maths this term, we will be continuing our learning on multiplication and division and beginning to look at fractions; equivalent fractions and using the four operations with fractions.
This term we are studying Irreversible change. We will be looking at the different states of matter and conducting experiments to see if they are reversible or irreversible.
This term, the children have chosen to read The Boy who made the world disappear by Ben Miller. It is about a small boy who gets given a black hole as a balloon. He discovers that he can make anything disappear through the black hole, but ends up with disastrous results.
