A term interrupted! We started Forest School and then lock-down happened! It never stops Forest School though! Outdoors remains one of the safest places to be! For years people have claimed going outside in rain or fog will make you 'catch cold', if nothing else Covid19 has proven that you get ill from germs and not the weather! And we have had ALL kinds of weather this term
Forest School will still take place during Lockdown.
Every (week) day at 3pm there will be a nature related activity on Facebook for families to look at - that way by the weekend there will be a choice of what to do if you choose to head out and go wild for a while!
Meanwhile, children in school will be having a Forest School Session on either Mondays or Tuesdays.
It will probably be cold, may be wet, and so far has been very muddy! Please make sure your child has some spare clothes to either change into after Forest School - or better still some old, WARM clothes to wear during Forest School. Also welly boots are the easiest to clean and with thick socks will keep feet warm for the hour or so the children are outside!
