Welcome to Panthers.
We are Year 6 and our teacher is Miss Holden. We are also really lucky to have Ms Maple and Mrs Waters (in the mornings).
This term our topic is:
Our big questions is:
What can we learn from this disaster?
Questions for Learning throughout the term will include:
1. What was so special about the Titanic?
2. What was life like for the crew?
3. What was life like for the passengers?
4. Whose fault was it?
5. Was the lifeboat system fair?
6. Have we really learnt from this mistake?
Throughout our curriculum we explore the PSHE threads: risk, resilience, rights & responsibilities and change, as well as respect and diversity.
For PSHE we follow Jigsaw - this term, our 'piece' is 'Relationships'.
For science we are revisiting Electricity to allow the children time to play around with the electrical circuit equipment which they were unable to do from home.
PE and Forest School are on Thursdays
We have PE first, then Forest School, so children will need to come in in their PE kits, with a change of clothes to get suitably mucky in :)
To see photos from these sessions, please follow our Forest School Twitter page:
All our other class learning, including Forest School, can be found on our Tapestry account - please do contact the school if you are unable to access this.
Homework will be set via Tapestry weekly
