The School Council have been organising Race For Life on Friday 22nd April to raise money for cancer research.
Letters have gone home with the children before Easter with sponsorship forms attached, so hopefully they have been able to collect as much money as possible.
When they are running they will wear a sign on their back which they will be able to write on, either with the name of who there running for, or someone who has suffered or who is suffering. Alternatively they can just decorate it and put their name on it.
The plan will be for everyone to run laps of the running track, so you can be sponsored per lap, or just a final amount. When they have completed the race everyone will be rewarded with a medal.
Everyone should wear sporty clothes during the day so they do not need to change before the run. They can wear sporty clothes to school and then run in them. Sensible and comfortable shoes such as trainers would be great.
Once the race is completed you will need to go and collect all the money that you have raised.
