Reading - Early Birds and Book Lounge
Wed 18 Nov 2015Mr Cheetham and Mrs Flewitt have launched a 'Book Lounge' during Wednesday lunchtimes. This is an opportunity for the children to read quietly in a comfortable space, away from the hustle and bustle of the playground. The first session was busy; it was great to see so many enthusiastic readers!
Early Bird Reader Club still runs on a Wednesday morning before school at 8:20am. Adults can accompany their children and share books before the school day begins. Please feel free to pop in and encourage good reading habits!

Assessment

Curriculum Assessment Briefing
Tue 03 Nov 2015We will be holding some briefing sessions for parents the week beginning 9th November on how we will be assessing pupils and tracking their progress with the new national curriculum. These are very important and will give parents an understanding of the arrangements for assessment before termly learning conferences take place later the following week. If you would like to attend one of these briefing sessions, please sign up in the school office so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Briefing sessions are as follows:
Monday 9th November 2pm & 6.30pm
Wednesday 11th November 9am
Thursday 12th November 4pm & 6.30pm
