  • School Disco - 11th February 2016

    We will be holding the end of term Disco on Thursday 11th February. The event will be divided into two sessions, one for the infants and one for the juniors.

     

    The Infant Disco (KS1) will begin at 5.30pm and end at 6.30pm. The Junior Disco (KS2) will then run from 6.45pm until 8.00pm. Entrance to the event will be via the dining room.

     

    Please may we ask that both infants and juniors are collected from the hall and that you use the playground fire exit doors, which can only be accessed via the double gates from the school car park. Please be prompt and ensure that your child knows who is collecting them.

     

    YOU MUST INFORM THE SCHOOL OF ANY CHANGES TO THE DETAILS ON THE PERMISSION SLIP EITHER PRIOR TO THE EVENT VIA THE SCHOOL OFFICE OR TO A MEMBER OF STAFF ON THE EVENING OF THE DISCO. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS ARE OF THE PERSON COLLECTING. (Permission slips have gone home with your child along with the letter).

     

    The above arrangements for the collection of both infants and juniors are necessary for safety reasons, please ensure that you understand and adhere to them.

     

    The entrance fee for the Infant Disco will be £2.50 and will include  a small bag of sweets and a drink. No other refreshments will be available to purchase at the Infant Disco.

    The entrance fee for the Junior Disco will be £2.50 and will include 2 glow bands. Refreshments will be on sale and any child wishing to purchase them should bring a named purse/wallet in which to keep their money.

     

    Entrance fee is payable on the night.

     

    All children wishing to attend MUST complete and return the permission slip (but no money), to the school office no later than Monday 8th February.

  • World Book Day

    WORLD BOOK DAY is an independent registered charity. There ambition is to turn millions of children into millions of readers!

     

    Similar to the last two years each pupil will receive a £1 token, which they can then spend with our visiting book seller who will be in school all day on Friday 4th March.

     

    There will be more details to follow.

     

     

  • Premier Sport February Half Term Holiday Sports Camp

    Dear Parents/Carers

     

    Following on from October's half term Holiday Club success, we are excited to announce that Premier Sport will be running another Holiday Club over the February half term.

     

    The Multi-Sports Club will run from Monday 15th February to Friday 19th February 9.00am - 3.00pm, with the cost being £12.95 per child per day.

     

    The meeting point will be the main entrance at 9.00am each morning and collection will be at 3.00pm from the same place. Children who normally walk home will need to have written permission from their parent/carer.

     

    Your child will need to bring a packed lunch. They will also need to wear suitable clothing and footwear for the day.

     

    To book your child's place, please either simply complete the booking form (which has been sent home with the pupils and has been sent via Parent Mail), and return with payment (cash or cheques made payable to Premier Sport) in an envelope addressed 'Premier Sport Holiday Camp' and drop it into the school office. Alternatively you can book online at http://bookings.premiersport.org

  • Primary School Admissions - Starting at Primary School - Apply before 15th January 2016

    If you have a child born between 1st September 2011 and 31st August 2012, you need to apply now for their place at a primary school. You must submit one application per child, even if they already have a sibling at the school.

     

    Applying online is quick, simple and convenient.

     

    Apply before Friday 15th January 2016 at:

    kent.gov.uk/ola

     

    Important dates to remember in 2016:

     

    Friday 15th January - Closing date for all applications (online or forms)

     

    Monday 18th April - Emails sent after 4pm to those who applied online with a valid email address. Letters sent to those who applied by paper application.

     

    Monday 16th May - Date by which places must be accepted or refused. Date by which parents should have submitted a Waiting List form.

     

    Friday 17th June - Reallocation of any vacant places.

    'Phil' the Bag - 29th January 2016

     

    Dear Parents

     

    Do you have any of the following unwanted items:

     

    Adults and children's clothing

    Shoes

    Handbags, belts, hats

    Curtains

    Towels and household linen

     

    If so, now is the time to get rid of it all! The school will receive 35p per kilo collected, so every item counts. Simply fill a bag and bring it to the school. Items can be accepted in any type of bag and in any condition as those items that cannot be reused will be recycled. Please bring donations in via the school hall by 9am on:

     

    Wednesday 27th, Thursday 28th and Friday 29th January.
