Several parents have expressed an interest in finding suitable texts for their children to read at home. Please look in the curriculum section under English where some information is posted to help with this. Let's keep the children reading as much as we can!
Mrs Flewitt would like to say thank you to all those children that entered the bunting competition. There was a huge range of ideas and some beautiful designs. They will be displayed next week so that all the entries can be seen.
It was hard to decide on the winners! Mrs Flewitt was helped by Mrs Pattison, Mrs Waters and Miss Copeman.

Dear Parents/Carers
The Christmas Fair times on Friday 2nd December will be:
At 1.45pm the Reception children will be taken to the Fair with their buddies.
At 2.00pm the rest of the school will visit the Fair.
At around 2.50pm the children will return to their classrooms.
At 3.15pm parents and carers are invited to the Fair along with their children.
At 4.00pm the raffle will be called.
We would appreciate any help tidying up at the end of the Fair.
Please remember Friday is a non-uniform day and the children are asked to bring in a wrapped bottle (no glass/alcohol) or chocolate depending on which one you have already bought in. As the children will be visiting the Fair in the afternoon please send them to school with some small change in names purse. A plastic carrier bag is also handy for their prizes!
Santa will be visiting the children in their classrooms on Friday morning!
We look forward to seeing you there.

Dear Parents/Carers
We would first like to thank all of those who helped us with the last cake sale!
There will be a chance for Year 4 children to show off their baking skills on Friday 2nd December at the school Christmas Fair.
All your child has to do is to make some cakes at home, then bring them in to school on the morning of 2nd December.
The cakes will then be sold at the Christmas Fair from 3.15pm.
Happy baking!

Thank you so much for your wonderful support at the Book Fair last week. This means that we earned some money for the school to spend on books. Each Year Group will be using a new core of books to enrich the children's Literacy development as they move up through the school.
The response for the bunting competition was huge and the entries were so lovely; it made judging for winners really tricky as everyone deserved a prize! Photographs can be found under curriculum - English enrichment.
Dear Parents/Carers
The Christmas Fair will soon be upon us. There will be two non-uniform days in the lead up to this. We would ask if you could kindly donate the following:
FRIDAY 25TH NOVEMBER - A chocolate donation for the tombola (selection pack or similar).
FRIDAY 2ND DECEMBER - (the day of the fair) A donation of a wrapped bottle.
(Please note: for the wrapped bottles may we ask that they are in date, plastic, unopened and not alcoholic, thank you)
We will need volunteers to help run the Fair. You can help set up, run a stall or clear up after, or even all three if you're feeling generous! If you would like to volunteer please email Celia at charthamfriends@gmail.com or leave your details with the school office.
More details about the Fair will follow soon.
