    Content will include the following:

    • Discuss the contents of typical packed lunches/picnics.
    • Learn about main food groups.
    • Plan the 'perfect' packed lunch/picnic for a pre-schooler/child/adult.
    • Understand the importance of kitchen safety including the safe use of equipment.
    • Make a variety of wraps, pitta pockets and sandwiches.
    • Compare different breads and fillings.
    • Try new foods and share preferences.
    •

The course is completely free! all you will need to bring is an apron for you and your child/children.

The course can only take up to 24 people with no more than 2 children per adult.

If you would like to attend please let the office know.

The course will be run by Kent Adult Education, we really hope that this course will be well attended as they are willing to do more courses in the future.

    Many thanks

  • Book area competition

    Tue 20 Feb 2018
During Term 3 each class took part in a friendly competition to re energise their book areas. They were then judged by members of The School Council - Erin, Sam R, Sam B and Kian. They took the job very seriously taking into account the creativity of the book area alongside how the books themselves were displayed. It was lovely to see such fabulous ideas and how the classes were so different. Jaguar Class won the competition and they will be able to choose some new books at the forthcoming Book Fair to add to their classroom shelves. Second place went to Panther Class and third to Chameleon. A big well done to each class for making such a wonderful effort!
  • Many thanks to The Friends

    Mon 05 Feb 2018

Each term The Friends are kindly funding the purchase of some newly published books which are refreshing library stocks. This time, the School Council helped Mrs Flewitt to choose what to get. There was much excitement and discussion around the choices and a good spread of ideas. The Friends are also continuing to fund the purchase of subscriptions to magazines and comics which are available in the library for all children to read. Ask your children what magazines they have been reading.

  • World Book Day - Thursday 1st March 2018

    Mon 05 Feb 2018

    Dear Parents/Carers

We will be taking part in World Book Day on Thursday 1st March. This year the children can choose between two options in order to celebrate the day. They can either dress up as a book character or bring in a clue of their favourite book. The clue can be written or an object; we hope that this will encourage lots of discussion around what the book could be.

    Further details to follow.

Please contact The Friends if you are available to help with the sale via The Friends of Chartham Primary School Facebook page or email charthamfriends@gmail.com
