  • Picture Book Week & World Book Day

    Picture Book Week from 28th February until 3rd March

     

    There are some great activities planned, especially as World Book Day (WBD) happens to fall during our Picture Book Week too.

     

    • Tuesday 28th February – Children can exchange their WBD token for a WBD text in school if they wish. Postponed due to book seller being badly delayed in traffic. We will ensure that the children get the opportunity to do this by the end of the week.

     

    • Tuesday 28th February - We have the popular £1 Book seller in school from 3pm for a great chance to grab some bargain books (WBD vouchers cannot be used to purchase these books)

     

    • Thursday 2nd March World Book Day – Where's Wally! we would like everyone to be a ‘Wally for Literacy’ !

     

    • Friday 3rd March - exhibition of all the fabulous picture book work in the school hall. Open to parents from 2.30pm until 3.15pm

     

     

     

     

     

     

  • Principals Spring/Summer Menu

    The new menu will start on Monday 20th February, the first day back after half term.

  • School Discos

    We will be holding the Disco on Thursday 9th February 2017. The event will be divided into two sessions: one for the infants (KS1) and one for the juniors (KS2).

     

    The Infant Disco (KS1) runs from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. Entrance is via reception. The entrance fee is £2.50, payable on the night, and includes a small bag of sweets and a drink. No other refreshments will be available to purchase at the Infant Disco.

     

    The Junior Disco (KS2) runs from 6.45pm to 8.00pm. Entrance is via the canteen. The entrance fee is £2.50 and includes 2 glow bands. Refreshments will be on sale and any child wishing to purchase them should bring a named purse/wallet in which to keep their money (no more than £5 please).

     

    Please may we ask that both infants and juniors are collected from the hall and that you use the playground fire exit doors, which can be accessed via the double gates from the school car park. Please be prompt and ensure that your child knows who is collecting them.

     

    YOU MUST INFORM THE SCHOOL OF ANY CHANGES TO THE DETAILS ON THE PERMISSION SLIP EITHER PRIOR TO THE EVENT VIA THE SCHOOL OFFICE OR TO A MEMEBER OF STAFF ON THE EVENING OF THE DISCO.

    (PLEASE MAKE SURE THE EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS ARE OF THE PERSON COLLECTING)

     

    The above arrangements for the collection of both infants and juniors are necessary for safety reasons, please ensure that you understand and adhere to them.

     

    Please make sure your child/children are aware that they are solely responsible for their possessions throughout the disco. The entrance fee is payable on the night.

     

    All children wishing to attend must complete and return the permission slip (but no money) to the school office no later than Tuesday 7th February.
